This part, we struggled with.

Ask us to write about Salads, Food, Chefs or Restaurants, and we’ll go on all day. Literally. But can we put together a simple and descriptive page that tells our story? Not so much.

But it goes like this:

Saladtopia.com is all about pancakes. Just kidding. We dig the salads. The short version is that Jill’s “JillBee” Brand has become something of a local phenomena, here in Los Gatos, CA. The challenge, though, is that Jill’s success has meant regular and consistent questions from others who want are trying to figure out how to make a salad that looks and tastes like a “JillBee” salad.

We think that the best way in which to do this is to post our favorite salad info here, on Saladtopia.com, where everyone can access the same info that Jill uses (generally) in making her famous salads.

Some notes:

We didn’t invent the salad. And we didn’t create each recipe that is on Saladtopia.com, either. Sure, some of them are original; others are variations on existing recipes from other sources; others are just the same as can be found elsewhere. When we use or reference the work or recipes from other sources (people, magazines, chefs, websites, etc.,) we try pretty hard to make sure that we give credit where credit is due. We are not here to take the credit from the labors and creativity of others. But we ARE here to celebrate the unique and exceptional (where salads are concerned). And we’ll do that by bringing the best material that we know of to Saladtopia.com.

Please note that Saladtopia.com is a work-in-progress. Our hope is that the amount of content will grow as quickly as the number of readers who access the site. Check back here, occasionally.
